And she would believe them – nobody else loses three wallets in six months, so there must be something wrong with her. jednak podejrzewam, że inne książki na temat adhd powiedzą to samo i pogłębią te części, których tu było za mało. We don’t share your credit card details with third-party sellers, and we don’t sell your information to others. I recommend this book to anyone who wants to learn more about themselves or those they love with ADHD. I liked this book, which discusses the several symptoms of ADHD Rox deals with and how she and her husband Rich navigate them.

W moim odczuciu za duży nacisk został położony na relację małżeństwa, co może nasuwać wniosek, że osoba z ADHD jest niejako zależna od partnera. for my marriage this is a great book because hearing from both Rox and Rich, my husband has realized some things I do really aren't my fault always, what I do isn't personal and against him. I never thought about the possibility that maybe the meds only “fix” a portion of my symptoms and not ALL of them and that I may not actually be a sh*t human! I love how real Richard gets when at one point he puts " I was not prepared for the Roxe hurricane in my life). However, much like the ADHD half of these two authors, I also have done a lot of “tik tok learning” about ADHD- meaning most of these conversations were on my FYP…two years ago. As someone who was diagnosed with ADHD in my 30s, and grew up feeling useless, lazy, stupid and generally like I was failing at life. Learn how to:- Stop believing you are fundamentally broken- Stop judging yourself by the standards of a neurotypical world- Communicate your struggles to those who love you- Support someone with ADHD in ways that work for them- Be compassionate rather than judgemental …and much more.

Instead of scrolling through your social media news feed, this is a much better way to spend your spare time in my opinion. There are just some aspects in our relationship that one of us will *always* handle, and you know what it works for us with no overwhelm! This is mostly a story about how a husband found forgiveness for his wife because they were able to find a name, ADHD, for her struggles.I'm grateful for those willing to be vulnerable in sharing their stories but at the same time do not recommend this book to someone in the beginning stages of understanding their ADHD diagnosis given all the options out there that include a more balanced approach with anecdotes and science. It is very specific to her and to them, but I found it really helpful to hear how someone on the other side of therapy explains how ADHD affects her. We also do not know how she works her recovery programme -- the 12 steps are quite spiritual, but she makes no mention of any spiritual practice -- which suggests her partner may be her 'higher power' in all of this.

I would recommend this book for anyone with ADHD, with partner with ADHD but even friends/families and managers of people that just think differently (possibly undiagnosed ADHD). How can you as a partner, parent, or friend better understand your neurodivergent loved one’s way of moving through the world? And to paraphrase the great Kathy Burke, this is not so I can be considered ‘woke’ but so I can be considered less of an ‘ignorant f*cking tw*t’!
