Description

Stainless-steel construction with titanium coating offers durability and strength; Firebiner has a 100 lb. The fire starter part is pretty cool, but unfortunately, the utility knife part just fell off and we can't find it anywhere. With the the tinder from Outdoor Element that we received, we could start a fire with just a couple of sparks. It certainly looks like it has more than a regular carabiner, with an irregular shape with holes and hooks all around. I do have a thing for carabiners, as carrying a PPW all day it can make getting stuff out of your pocket hard, so a nice carabiner makes it easy to carry car keys without trying to move the holster around.

Anodising wearing well as its key ring thouigh out week so gets a lot of keys knocking and rubbing it. Lucky for me, I was quickly able to go all doomsday prepper again with the Firebiner, which is certainly no ordinary carabiner. The Firebiner will keep you prepared for many of life's gotchas whether you're needing to light the camp stove or just cutting a loose thread from your dress shirt at the office. It has a titanium-coated stainless steel body construction rated for up to 22kg of gear (not for climbing). The Firebiner also has some branding and words, but since it's on a carabiner, it's pretty inconspicuous unless you look up close.I previously had a chance to review Outdoor Element's The Kodiak survival bracelet that really ignited (pun intended) my survival instincts. The Outdoor Element Firebiner is a survival carabiner that is as much for everyday use as it is for survival enhancement. With its lightweight, titanium-coated steel, there’s nothing stopping you from carrying it wherever you go.

If you have ever worried about your lighter breaking during a backpacking trip and you can’t light your cook stove, this is for you. Having never used anything other than a lighter or matches to start a fire, I wasn’t sure quite what to expect. We've used the firebiner to start a half-dozen fires while camping in fairly good weather with dry wood. In addition to its carabiner and firestarter functions, the Firebiner has three other tools integrated into its compact form. We got a couple of these for a recent camping trip since I thought they’d be fun to try out with the family.Survival and convenience rarely go hand in hand, but these two opposites are joined together in the handy Firebiner. A carabiner that has holes for keyrings other than the main hook so that keys can come off and get lost by accident.

And, don't forget the small utility blade for cutting paracord, webbing or a seat belt should you find yourself in a jam. We use them to clip our keys, our camera, our water bottle, or a myriad of other products to our backpacks, to shelves, to fences, to belt loops or to whatever we need at the moment. A strong spring holds the wire gate in place for easy opening but keeps the carabiner firmly closed otherwise, and the frame also features hang slots which you can use to attach it to a keychain or whatever else you may have handy. We also do not accept products that are intimate or sanitary goods, hazardous materials, or flammable liquids or gases. With the tinder from Outdoor Element or other homemade ones, we were able to get a fire started in a couple of seconds each time. The Firebiner has all the practicality of the popular clip including a tough design and steel wire gate that hold up to 100 lbs of gear. A cleverly designed carabiner that serves both for everyday use and survival elements, the Firebiner also has a screwdriver tip, a bottle opener, a small utility blade, and a Spark Wheel all incorporated into its stainless steel frame.
