About this deal

Not too surprising was that they still had a limited budget so they had to find many workarounds regarding effects to get the film to reflect their vision as closely as possible. Kreating Klowns (1080i; 12:50) is an archival piece with Charles Chiodo and creature fabricator Dwight Roberts. the film is just flat out sweetly silly and ridiculous, with a kind of "by the seat of your pants" production ethos that is positively endearing.

Many even approach them without the slightest concern or alarm that the creatures are walking the streets at night. Details and textures are wonderfully complex, all with no obvious DNR enhancement and only minor over-sharpening artifacts. Use the thumbs up and thumbs down icons to agree or disagree that the title is similar to Killer Klowns from Outer Space. As far as "the basics" go, it's mostly good news: dialogue is relatively clear on both tracks (though a handful of tinny-sounding or muffled lines are likely due to ADR or less-than-ideal on-set recording), and it's mixed fairly well with good dynamic range and rarely fights for attention. features lead singer/composer Leonard Graves Phillips and guitarist Stan Lee, members of the punk band The Dickies, the ones responsible for the film’s title song. The film itself has unintentionally funny dialogue and situations, but there are also some genuinely disturbing moments to be had as well. backdrops (including a couple of moments with absolutely no backdrop) look appropriately theatrical (see screenshot 2 for one example). Keep in mind that anyone can view public collections—they may also appear in recommendations and other places.

Unfortunately, I don’t have the MGM disc at my disposal for a direct comparison, but I can definitely vouch for the fine quality of this particular 1080p, 1. Audio Commentary — The Chiodo Brothers chat and converse amongst themselves while giving listeners lots of great anecdotal information. Most surprising is a color palette the feels somewhat subdued and drained in many spots with flesh tones that fluctuate between sickly-pale to reddish, though primaries come in decently well, with greens looking best of all.We will introduce you exclusively to Newpay finance products provided by NewDay Limited under this Introducer Appointed Representative arrangement. Killer Klowns is sort of a homage to paranoid sci-fi movies of the 1950's (or perhaps just accidentally so as it features similarly poor production values), but lacks the shlock charm of the Blob remake which came out in the same year. Dialogue is well-prioritized and both sound effects and score have some decent spatial activity from time to time. When Mike and his girlfriend Debbie warn the local police that a gang of homicidal alien-clowns have landed in the nearby area (in a spaceship shaped like a circus big-top, no less), the cops are naturally sceptical.

The effort is certainly welcome, assuming you're a die-hard fan or an aspiring director -- but since there's no sound during any of these films, some optional commentary with the Chiodos (during the other five) or new music cues would have been greatly appreciated. Equal parts ‘50s throwback, ‘80s satire, and effects demo-reel, Killer Klowns from Outer Space was destined for a cult following and is well-made enough to earn that status. Es una peli que me gustaba tener y por el precio que tiene y siendo un blu ray no hay que dejar escapar la ocasión, muy buena calidad de audio y sonido, todo correcto. Century Fox and MGM Home Entertainment bring 'Killer Klowns from Outer Space' to Blu-ray on a Region Free, BD50 disc that goes straight to the movie. So, in the words of the film s opening theme song, hop aboard the nightmare merry-go-round and brace yourself for a cinematic experience unparalleled in this galaxy! No one specific drive-in feature serves as inspiration, but rather, it comes from the collective memories of those films and captures the spirit of the era while forging into slapstick excess. The spaceage circus set design is one-of-a-kind and matches the production values of vastly more expensive movies from the era. There is a bit of crushing in a handful of darker shots but outside of this black levels are otherwise excellent. It's a better transfer, yes, but they're not exactly correcting grave problems with the previous HD transfers, and "much grainier" probably isn't a huge selling point for most viewers.

Very early on, we see inside their spaceship tent, and it's a beautiful glass matte shot right out of Forbidden Planet. Arrow Video’s new Special Edition Blu-ray release trumps its previous one and is definitely the one to own for just such an occasion. The disc is housed inside a blue eco-cutout keepcase with a new cover art that's rather cool and creepy.Like just about all of Arrow’s releases of low budget cult films Killer Klowns from Outer Space looks way better than it probably has any right to be, and I wouldn’t be surprised (again) if it looks better here than it did during its initial theatrical run. It’s an honest track, pointing out both the things that work well and the short comings, but the participants are proud of what they put up on screen and are even happier that there are fans for the film.
