Did they ever iron out all the issues with the GTA trilogy already on Switch, or is that game still a buggy mess? Yomerodes Agree with your post, except witcher III meets all those criteria though even the consistent 30 fps framerate

Because they're incredibly old, and let's face it, the improvements will be minimal as most remasters usually are?

Rumours have been swirling for quite some time regarding a potential remaster for Red Dead Redemption. The game originally launched over twelve years ago on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 and followed the exploits of ex-outlaw John Marston as he hunts down his former gang members. The sequel, launched in 2018, showcased John's gang during its glory years and ties closely into the events of the first game. As such, fans have been clamouring for a rerelease of Red Dead Redemption to bring it more in line with modern gameplay and visuals. Hopefully they aren't cloud versions, as we know from Kingdom Hearts 1&2 the Switch can't handle PS2 games /s This is great news as Vice City is one of the very best videogames of all time. Our PS2s are now officially obsolete! (I'm bearing in mind that the Devil May Cry trilogy is on the Switch too and Dragon Quest VIII is on the 3DS.) Then we get the announcement of those remasters which was not a massive head turner because these were the games I bought the PS2 for so wasn't that interested. But that made me hope that I may get an opportunity to play some of their games again in the future.

The only people who should be remastering games are the teams that originally developed the games. More often than not, remastering projects given to outside no-name development studios produce poor results. modern gameplay enhancements" I hope this means the control scheme will be more in line with modern games. I have such a difficult time playing the original versions. Super stoked!

Is It Worth Getting The GTA Trilogy On Switch Now?

Uncensored Old version will be removed from the stores is what they said. So you won't get a free update Red Dead Redemption's engine is a beast from what I have heard. The original PC port in early 2010s was scrapped due to its inflexibility, so they would have to rebuild the first game from scratch. It can be played on Xbox, even with all the up-conversion, it's still showing its age.

If they would have remastered them like they did GTA 3, SA and VC then its better they scrapped it... I hope one day companies will make good remasters that do respecting the originals. Arawn93 but they're modified versions of the mobile version as opposed to a modified console version. I wish they'd just remastered the 3 games with modern movement and decent vehicle control We've spent about ten hours all told revisiting these games and in that time we've seen plenty of clipping issues, with our protagonist failing to connect with scenery properly whilst clambering and climbing around, we've spotted a few flying cars and floating NPCs here and there, and noticed some audio issues to boot. If only all of the updated versions of the games were on the physical, then I might jump. Otherwise, I'll just get out my PS2 If it’s for storage, the inevitable patches will likely take up just as much storage space as the game anyhow?

Talking Point: Has Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition On Switch Improved Since Launch? At same time, not every person will need 2tb on their switch and Nintendo is smart for not having those people pay for extra onboard memory and giving them the option of s cheap 64gb if they wanted. Too much praise over patches that shouldn't have been necessary to begin with, is like condoning their actions. Just my opinion. GrailUK I’ve heard they are ok and have a bit of a niche following. Might try them out myself, you know to support the poor developer… Objectively speaking it HAS. You can just look at all the Switch patch version comparison videos on YT that does a good job like on SwitchUP.

Vice City has crashed on me more times than I can recall. If the source material wasn't as good as it was, most of us wouldn't have been so forgiving. The only other game that has come close to this level of sloppiness was Pokémon Scarlet/Violet. The Trilogy will include GTA 3, GTA: Vice City, and GTA: San Andreas, and will feature improved graphics and modern gameplay enhancements while keeping the "classic look and feel" of the original games. Great for people who haven’t played these. Great classics. I still have them for the ps2. The value for these games are really low. There’s next to no chance for the Switch 2 being revealed this year and only a small one for GTA 6, but since a lot of people have been having fun imagining what the Switch 2’s launch line-up might be I wanted to take it a step further: what if GTA 6 was part of it?Three iconic cities, three epic stories. Play the genre-defining classics of the original Grand Theft Auto Trilogy: Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas updated for a new generation, now with across-the-board enhancements including brilliant new lighting and environmental upgrades, high-resolution textures, increased draw distances, Grand Theft Auto V-style controls and targeting, and much more, bringing these beloved worlds to life with all new levels of detail. of the most amazing games in existence (GTA3, GTA VC) got that port. Everything would be fine if they cared about the music and brought every single song from the original versions. Yomerodes Framerate parity will never happen. Best to just hope for 60fps. You can bet that if it's 60 fps on the Switch, it'll be 120 fps on the PS5/XSX. Cult of the Lamb is another game for which I would love a second look. I heard it’s better compared to its launch version. Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition, if you want to use its full name, has made headlines today with the unveiling of its debut trailer and release details. Naturally some questions for big GTA fans and indeed Switch collectors have revolved around the file size and what we can expect from the Switch physical version.
