Once I learn “where the edge is”, I will start using the Barrista Kit, also bought strictly on your recommendation. Thanks for the great review on this product. After your recommendations I decided to buy one! For now I just bought the standard Nanopresso. My question: can you make an americano or cappuccino with the standard version of this product? It seems possible I guess, they may be a bit smaller then normal but okay… I fancy myself an americano or cappuccino after some time.

Now, if you’re finding your Nanopresso isn’t pressurizing like it used to, this step is very important in the cleaning process. Once pumped up however, the pressure is trapped until you hit the release valve, allowing for a hands-free pour similar to the Nanopresso. Once a month, or every 30 extractions or so, it’s recommended that you remove the rubber piece around the metal nozzle. This is extremely important because this piece creates the vacuum seal necessary to create the right amount of pressure for a great extraction. Since it is not a self-contained design like the other two machines listed, all the moving parts are left somewhat exposed when not in use. Forcing you to be more careful with how you store it. In fact, we feel like it’s precisely because this machine is so simple and the technology is boiled right down to the essentials, that it’s easy to tweak and see immediate results. Within a few days, you do feel like you’re learning a lot about honing in on that perfect espresso.

Brew Espresso Anywhere - Completely portable so you can take your beloved espresso wherever you go. While buying your grounds pre-ground means you’ve already achieved this perfectly fine grind, it is something we never recommend. As the espresso connoisseur you’re on your way to being, we recommend grinding your coffee beans fresh for a few reasons. Both of these models are very easy to use. You just put in the coffee and boiling water and work the piston to brew delicious coffee. Here we will analyze their features and how they are used. Nanopresso In all honesty, this was our least favorite portable espresso maker but it is an inexpensive option that looks good on the counter so we felt compelled to include it. received my Nanopress with all the kits from Bear & Bear the other day, Just havent had the time to test more than one cup of espresso, it was mighty delicious. And then i just went ahead and bought standard espressoground coffe that i could find in the nearest store. 🙂

Compact, light and very easy to use, the Nanopresso is an elegant option to carry with you while travelling. Most importantly, it creates a surprisingly authentic and flavourful espresso, especially combined with a portable coffee grinder, fresh beans and the Barista Kit upgrade. As you can see in the photos, the bottom cup is actually a tiny espresso cup inside a container, making for a somewhat redundant design while adding unnecessary weight.

The user manual is extremely well illustrated. It includes a detailed step-by-step guide, tips for getting the best results, a troubleshooting section along with details on the cleaning process. I am looking for something to make me good cup of coffee or espresso to have at work as our machines produces awful coffee. :). I was about to invest in an aeropress when i also saw the Nanopresso. Wich do you recon i should get. I almost always drink coffee with milk and my espressos are rather cappuccinos. 🙂 After a few attempts, we were achieving gorgeously smooth, rich cremas with every shot, thanks to those 18 bars of pressure forcing hot water through the coffee grinds. Wacaco has done everything they could to make brewing – whether it’s espresso or coffee – as easy as it gets. One look at the Nanopresso, Minipresso, Picopresso, Cuppamoka, and Pipamoka, and that’s clear.

The Nanopresso water tank can hold up to 80ml of water and is lined and protected by the detachable cup. Both parts feature a heatsink pattern to absorb and protect your hands from heat. After each shot, Nanopresso cleaning takes only few seconds. When necessary, every componentof the portafilter are easily separated for deep cleaning. Thinking that i sometimes would like to have regular coffee maybe i should opt for the Aeropress, but with the barista kit one could maybe make an Americano? Pre-heating your Nanopresso helps warm the body of the brewer up so that your extraction is clean and smooth. When it’s time for the extraction, the ideal water temperature should be close to boiling, or about 195°F.The Nanopresso can brew only one type of coffee, while the Minipresso can be used to brew multiple coffee blends. Size – It is larger in length than the Nanopresso but is more compact and smaller in width. It makes it easy to hold in one hand so that the pump can be easily used to make the coffee. While they are referred to as espresso makers, these little workhorses don’t technically make espresso. I’m a huge fan of the Nanopresso, I use it every day. I use it with the Barista kit (double shot) as the Handpresso Auto only offers a single shot and that just doesn’t seem to be enough for me. If, however, you’re happy with a single shot espresso the Handpresso and Handpresso auto do a great job. I personally favour the ESE pods over Nespresso pods for flavour but neither of them are a patch on freshly ground beans.
